NOTI ...WHO? NOTINAF

STORY
Notinaf is a Swiss sustainable urban label, creating with spontaneity long-lasting and unique pieces, nevertheless subtly managing to convey modernity with streetwear influences and a nostalgia for previous periods. We celebrate one’s uniqueness in our creative process – making it an experience that becomes a heritage to pass on. Our creations are for today, tomorrow and further generations.

FAMILY HERITAGE
Drawing on her professional experiences at Alexander McQueen, among others, the Swiss designer Navamani Geymeier has a very family-oriented vision of creation. Indeed, it is through close collaboration with her father, a graphic designer, that prints are created in Lausanne. The basic source of inspiration also comes from her aunt’s paintings and photographies taken by her family.

100% SWISS MANUFACTURING
Designed in Lausanne, Notinaf clothing and accessories are produced in our workshop with the utmost care, focusing on quality and precision, both in cuts and materials. The choice of local production underlines the desire to limit the ecological impact of the brand, right down to the packaging.
OUTSOURCING
Notinaf subcontracts in Italy, to Le Marche, in a local production company, for all shoe creations, taking advantage of the know-how and techniques of leather. The choice of this company also focused on the possibility of producing to order, limiting waste and over-consumption.

SLOW FASHION
Sustainable from the concept to the finished product, each garment is thoroughly thought to be timeless: pieces that can be worn whatever the season or occasion. Every piece is made to last a long time, therefore there are no more trends, fashion calendars or quantities. We strive to work with European fabric partners who pursue the same goal of sustainability. This idea is reinforced by a high-quality in production in Switzerland.

TEXTILE PRINTING
After long phases of testing, we chose to move towards digital printing. Unlike the so-called traditional method (frame, screen printing), digital printing is more ecological and faster. At first, this technique reduces water and energy consumption, as well as pollution. In addition, the quality of the prints is the same as that obtained with traditional methods, with the difference that the quantity of chemicals required is divided by 10! Finally, digital printing avoids all forms of waste: quantity of ink dosed, reduced use of water and chemicals.
